Let’s look at some more images from the development of Detective Grimoire! Making this game is like a massive jigsaw puzzle and half the pieces keep changing shape. One of the biggest difference for us if we have a larger “team” this time around (two artists, a very involved composer, and dedicated voice actors) as well as Tom programming the whole thing. There is a lot to organise! Catherine has nearly finished every single background for the game. The number of backgrounds grew as we realised we needed several close-ups, and several images for the intro sequence and outro sequence. We’re trying to make the game a dramatic narrative adventure, and not just a clicking-on-buttons game. Hopefully you should get totally wrapped up in the story when you play it!
